Text Editing Macros (TexEdi1)

Previous item Next item Previous menu
Purpose of the Macros
The macros introduced here are made for editing text files, so that they can be imported easily to CAATs software (such as [older versions of] IDEA).
TexEdiMac #1; funtionality
(0) Examine a Text File
(1) Change Text Lines to same Fixed Length
(2) Remove empty Lines
(3) Replace Character(s)
(4) Remove Carrige Return (CR)
(5) Append lower Line to upper One
(6) Add CR to Text File (lacking it)
(7) Remove Thousands Separator from Numbers
(8) Change Text to Uppercase or to Lowercase
The original file will always remain unchanged. Changes made to file will be present in the resulting new file. In order to promote easiness of use the macros are put into a bigger macro, where desired funtionalities are selected.
