Purpose of the macro tool

'ExcAud' is an Excel file that complements functionality of Microsoft's Excel in computer assisted audit. The core of ExcAud is a set of macros: Text Editing macro (TexEdi); Text Import macros ('ImpFix' and 'ImpAny'; earlier: 'TexImp3' and 'TextImp4'); a macro for Joining Excel tables ('JoiTab'); a macro for Making Pivot Table from strings ('StrPiv'); a macro for detecting gaps and duplicates in series ('GapDup').

Safety

The macro has only the functionality that is needed to make the runs, and where needed, the functionality to check macro's time of validity. The macro is harmless for the user, for the computer, and for the software on the computer.
